BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One or more of the following are preferred:
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Depth in data structures and algorithms, especially those dealing with concurrency or scaling
· Experience as an open source contributor or maintainer of a popular open source project.
· Experience with Agile engineering practices (continuous integration, TDD, etc.)
· Experience with CNCF projects such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.
· Experience coding in Go and/or Typescript.
· Familiarity with internet security, SSO, IAM, RBAC.
· Experience with high scale data stores and caching strategies.

One focus area of the Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to serve as a designated representative for their assigned building coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Program as directed by the leadership.
