Job summary
The Program Excellence team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to help us create robust processes and tools to create a powerful feedback loop to drive long-lasting, positive change in the ways that our Selling Partners interact with Amazon. This person will help craft and maintain the end-to-end process vision and goals for identifying both positive and negative trends in Selling Partner sentiment, then surfacing those trends with relevant business, product, and tech leaders at Amazon to drive improvements in the end-to-end SP experience. Using these processes, this role will act as a Voice of the Selling Partner and help drive our mission to provide world class service to our SPs. It will be important to be metrics-driven and have a strong backbone as we advocate for our SP community.

Key job responsibilities
· Act as a primary business contact to define business requirements, program goals, and mechanisms to drive a closed feedback loop from SPs to internal teams.
· Create and sustain a standardized approach to track and monitor rising and falling trends in Selling Partner sentiment, and prioritize trends according to frequency and/or severity.
· Seen as approachable, cooperative and a team player, easily gains trust and support throughout Amazon.
· Collaborates to build partnerships with key stakeholder groups including FBA, Retail and Selling Partner Abuse
· Interprets, understands and communicates Program Excellence objectives to business stakeholders.
· Active participation in building the Selling Partner Communities team & raise the bar in the hiring process.

About the team
The Selling Partner Communities (SPC) organization builds lasting connections with and among our Selling Partners, helps drive their success, and ensures that public perception mirrors the reality that Amazon’s stores are a great place for our Selling Partners to build and maintain thriving businesses. The Program Excellence team within the SPC organization aims to improve the Selling Partner experience by creating and maintaining sustainable mechanisms to drive efficiency and accuracy in resolving social media and forums escalations, close feedback loops from SPs to business teams to improve transparency and SP perception of Amazon, and sustainably expand the reach of SPC to ensure a consistent sense of SP community worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of Program Management Experience
  • 1.5+ years of experience managing internal and external stakeholder groups
  •  Proven experience leading medium to large scale projects
  •  Proven experience communicating with both technical and non-technical teams across a global organization
  •  Demonstrated strategic thinker and detail oriented with proven problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated passion for delivering a positive customer experience
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Prior experience with social media/ public relations.
  • Program management experience with a thorough knowledge of program management lifecycle and project management tools.

Job summary

  • Amazon’s ROC (Relay Operations Center) Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist to assist in the resolution of stakeholder issues of daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon.
    An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. He/she has the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment.
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results
  • Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations
  • Must be able to quickly understand the business impact of the trends and make decisions that make sense based on available data
  • Must be able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to create a narrative outlining your weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these finding in a review forum

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Entry level knowledge of MS Excel based tools; familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and ability to navigate and interpret data
  • 2+ years work experience in logistics/transportation industry
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts day or night and some weekend shifts as needed, as this team provides tactical support to Amazon’s fulfillment network 24 hours/day 7 days/week; *Note- this position may require working weekends long term

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon work experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field
  • Expertise in MS Access and SQL
  • Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
  • Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data
  • Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
  • A self-starter who loves data and who enjoys spotting the trends in it!
