The address for this role, is: 1001 North Schmeer Road, Portland, OR 97217

The schedule for this role, subject to change based on business need, will be: Sunday-Tuesday and Saturday 10:30AM-5:30PM
This is a Part-Time (20-29 hours per week) position.

The average amount of scheduled hours generally consists of 20-29 hours per week, with the expectation to work additional hours in a week if there is a customer need.

As a Delivery Station Liaison, you will help improve the customer experience by providing real-time, hands-on support to ensure our customers receive their packages on time, as promised. The role will also help connect customers with experts who can provide them the most accurate and up-to-date information about their packages. The work is beyond fulfilling and delivering customer orders; it’s making sure we put smiles on customer’s faces.

As a Delivery Station Liaison, you will be responsible for: 

  • Communicating with customers directly in person, by phone and by email
  • Empathizing with and prioritizing customer needs
  • Upholding company values in working with every customer
  • Resolving issues and setting appropriate expectations with customers
  •  Clearly understanding and responding appropriately to the issues that customers present
  • Consistently composing a grammatically correct, concise, and accurate written response to customers
  • Approaching problems logically and with good judgment to ensure the appropriate customer outcome
  • Making quick and effective decisions on behalf of the customer
  • Working a flexible, part time schedule (20-29 hours per week)
  • Working from inside an Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery station
  • Performing the following tasks:
  • Carry, lift, push and pull up to 49 pounds
  •  Stand, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 12 hours long
  •  Work in an environment where the noise level varies (personal protective equipment provided)
  • Work in an environment where the temperature may vary

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent diploma
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Outlook
  • Familiarity with multiple web browsers, window navigation and instant messenger tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Customer Service
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work time to ensure efficiency
  • Experience working on a merchandising/brand ambassador team
  • Demonstrates integrity and has track-record of earning trust

About the Role:
As a Data Center Technician in Amazon, you will get to help build and maintain a Cloud Computing Infrastructure across a number of local and remote locations in the Americas.
The role involves some periods working independently from your team and requires the ability to drive change while maintaining excellent communications.

Your day job will include (but not limited to):

  •  Triaging and repairing data center fiber optic cabling/systems and network hardware
  •  Troubleshooting Network installation and configuration
  •  Coordinating remote hands for new capacity installations
  •  Resolving data center facility issues
  • Co-ordinating remote hands and eyes for any data center network issues
  •  Participating in small to mid-size projects creating or expanding data centers
  •  Building relationships with remote facilities to ensure swift response times to events
  • Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets standards
  •  Improving all Operational Processes and Security with each site

Decommissioning cabling and network hardware as needed
This role involves 60% travel, including some international travel. Candidate must be able to accommodate travel requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) in computer science or management or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of Linux, UNIX administration
  •  2+ years troubleshooting Network installation and configuration
  • 2+ years triaging and repairing data center fiber optic cabling/systems and network hardware
    Physical Requirements (all physical requirements may be done with reasonable accommodations)
  •  This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 40lbs; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
  •  Understanding of distributed and service oriented architectures.
  •  Proven ability to manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts that balance client and company needs.
  •  LEAN, Sigma and Operational Excellence knowledge and/or proficiency.

About the Role

  • Be an expert in interacting with customers by effectively using customer engagement strategies and model desired behavior for the rest of the team.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and demonstrate product features, pricing, and program offers to customers.
  • Provide ongoing training in areas including demo and selling skills, product knowledge, and store operations, and assist manager in identifying training needs.
  • Maintain a key to the store and open and close the store following the proper procedures.
