We are seeking a Principal Product Manager Technical to build and scale our newly launched Connections Marketplace offering. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to define the strategy and launch new vendor categories for Connections Marketplace.

Responsibilities

  •  Work closely with our 3P providers, Engineering, Legal, Business Development, Account Management, and Program Managers to improve the adoption and long-term value of APS.
  • Scope and launch new vendor segments for the new marketplace. Drive these integrations from ideation to adoption.
  • Use customer feedback, market trends, business initiatives, and data analyses to define the roadmap priorities and timelines.
  • Collaborate with publisher (supply-side) pods on a coordinated execution plan that will enable us to move quickly, focus on customer needs, and drive operational excellence.
  • Develop a shared understanding of the architecture and the technology of Amazon’s ad products and collaborate with cross-organizational engineering teams to deliver success.
  • Evangelize new product opportunities to senior management and diverse stakeholders through deep ad systems knowledge, customer research, hands-on data analysis, and industry expertise.
  •  Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of issues for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience working directly in the ad tech space

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of the online advertising marketplace including how media is bought, sold and delivered
  • Proven track record in bringing new, transformative products to market
  • Ability to use customer needs and challenges to provide thought leadership that fosters product innovation and business opportunities.
  • Exceptional written (documents, not PowerPoint presentations) and verbal communication abilities; must effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people at all levels.
  • Strong quant and analytical abilities – you use data to make decisions but do not suffer from analysis paralysis.
  • Familiarity with a database query language or Hive.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Able to travel 1-2x/quarter (following office closures)
    Open to candidates sitting in Austin TX, NYC, Santa Monica CA, or Palo Alto CA.

Job summary

One focus area of the Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to serve as a designated representative for their assigned building coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Program as directed by the leadership. The WHSS promotes a positive culture while complying with Amazon standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits.
The WHSS is required to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems. The WHSS supports management’s efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Program expectations and applicable federal & state laws. The WHSS also conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions. In addition, the WHSS is responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics. Candidate must be willing to work any shift, based on availability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
· Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
· Experience maintaining confidentiality in matter involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety related field
· Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills
· Experience leading and managing a team ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses
· Experience in emergency response and currently holds First Aid and CPR certificates
· Experience in workers compensation case management
